Janie is Four Months!!

Where does the time go? She can now roll over, take her passie in and out, hold her own bottle (sometimes), and were going to begin cereal really soon. She's so much fun, so cuddly, so sweet, and is just making our lives so full. We love you, Jane Cara! Merry Christmas!

MORE TO COME!

Week 16!!

A Christmas Angel
The most kissable noggin - ever!!
Eyes are still blue!
Tummy-time isn't so bad this way...

The rattle is still her fave.
The older she gets, the more she enjoys being in her bouncer.

Working on her royal wave
Franky had his head in her lap. She was very interested.
I wish Franky's eyes weren't glowing, but isn't this a cute one?

Janie Turned Over!!!

Oh, I wish I had my camera handy! Daddy and I were on the floor with her when we called the dog over to check her out. She thought he was pretty neat, so when he went away, she followed him with her eyes and then her body. She rolled over from back to front. When she tried again and again, she couldn't quite make it and wore herself out trying. She soon fell fast asleep. I know when she has the right motivation, she'll do it again. We're so proud!!

Week 14 - Happy Thanksgiving

Janie wasn't too fond of the nippy weather, but she sure looked great in her hat!
Abby and Janie are almost exactly 10 years apart. Abby is such a great role-model for Jane; I hope she learns a lot from her.
She decided that sleeping through the cold was the way to go.
The Ybarras couldn't make it because Alex and Rachel had Strep. We sure missed you guys!!
Janie loves to stretch and flail, and we think she's starting to want to turn over!
Four generations!! What a special picture for posterity.
Janie LOVES stretching out in the "big bed". Aunt Ashley loves to make her smile!
She was quite enamored with the video of HERSELF that Gammy took.

I'm so glad she got to spend some quality time with her family. These are my very favorite times. It was a great experience; we made some great memories together.

We spent our Thanksgiving holiday in Branson, MO. It was a great time, and Janie got to meet a bunch of extended family, including her Great-grandma, for the first time. She was an angel on the trip there and back. I can't believe how blessed we are. It was so fun taking her to the same Resort I went to for T'giving when I was a little girl. It was a very nostalgic trip for me, and I'm so glad we went. Oh dear, the last pictures of Janie with her mom when she was in her 20's.

Happy Birthday, Baby Jane Cara!!

Janie is 3 months old today!!
She loves to giggle on her changing table.
She also loves to sit by herself and hang out and watch football with Daddy.
Here she was listening to one of the many "Janie" songs we've made up for her. The more she hears it, the more she loves it.

Beautiful dreamer...

Week 13

Janie has discovered the greatness of her hands!! She's not sure how to make them work, but she sure does think they're cool! (Thanks for the pic, Mom.)

Week 12

Poor, Sweet Janie spent a few days in the hospital with viral spinal meningitis. She was so good through it all, and we are so thankful that God saw her through it.

Week 11

You can tell Baby Sweetie wasn't feeling quite herself here.

This was on Friday morning, getting ready to go to Ms. Kim's house.

Janie hasn't felt too well this week. We knew she would get sick eventually, but we hoped it wouldn't be this soon. Poor Sweetie. In an effort to try to soothe her, we played Baby Einstein for her on John's lap top for the first time. She was delighted! We hope she feels better really soon.

10 Weeks and Counting

Poor Janie HATES "tummy-time"!

A friend at John's work made her a couple of winter caps. She's adorable in them!
