Janie's One Month Old!

John and I have been blessed beyond belief. I can't believe how big she's getting! We want to thank all of you for your support this past month and for all of the love you've showered on Jane. She's lucky to have such a great family. We love you!

Momma's Girl and Nighttime with Daddy

Making Faces

Watching her sleep can be so fascinating because of all of the silly faces she makes. No two are alike and they're all so entertaining. So CUTE!

First "Real" Bath

She had her first bath last night. She was a little freaked out and stunned at first (check out her expression), but she ended up relaxing and really enjoying it. Her favorite is having her hair washed.

Such a Cuddlebug!

I know we're creating a monster, but she loves being held as much as we love holding her. She just snuggles right into your heart, which makes putting her down very difficult.

Cuddling with Aunts

A Gift from Great-Grandma

Grandma did a cross-stitch for Janie. It's so cute! How awesome it is that Janie has something handmade just for her by my grandmother!

Sweet Pictures

More sleeping... She does have times when she's bright-eyed and alert, but I'm usually too captivated to remember to take pictures.

Week Three

Yes, she sleeps a lot - not so much at night, however. She's the sweetest, snuggliest darling girl in the world. I think her favorite things right now besides food and sleep are having her hair washed, singing and dancing with daddy, and snuggling with her grandmas and aunts. Things she hates - waiting for a bottle to heat up, not being held when she wants to be held, and having her belly button swabbed (actually, her cord fell off today).

Week Two

We were so fortunate to have John home for two whole weeks. I always knew he'd be a great daddy, but it's still so unbelievable to see what a natural he is with her.

Week One

The first time I saw her, I couldn't believe how sweet and beautiful she was. She looks just like John to me - more when she's asleep than awake. Her eyes are a mystery. John says they look like mine, but we'll see.

Not So Long Ago...

Oh, the hours I spent staring at her ultrasound pictures wondering what she's look like, anticipating her arrival! These pictures are a part of one of the most special times in John's and my life together. I waited for those sonogram appointments like I was waiting for Christmas morning, and now she's laying here beside me sleeping peacefully. Unbelievable!
