Our First Week - Summer 09

We went to Aunt Jenny's for a visit, and Jenny, Abby, Jane, and I walked to a neighborhood park. She wasn't sure of the swing at first, but it grew on her. She was swinging pretty high! She also got to slide for the first time. Thanks for the pictures, Jenny!




Gammy came over Friday morning and made us pancakes and played for a couple of hours. She had a blast, and she loved the pancakes!








One of her favorite pastimes is to point to every bird and air plane she sees and scream with delight and a little frustration that she can't touch them. So cute!


Mimi came over Friday afternoon and took Janie to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time. There was so much to see and do that she LOVED it! I was surprised she wasn't afraid of the dancing, singing mouse. On the contrary, she couldn't get enough of him. She had a blast!

We have had a wonderful week! She is so much fun to hang out with. I'm such a lucky mom. I confess, it is very tiring to be a full-time mommy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I thank God I'm able to be home with her. She has 2 new teeth, her canines (our cute little Vampire) She's been saying hi for months now, but now she is saying bobo - as in, "Janie, sit still, I have to clean your bobo!" Not my choice for one of her first words, but there you have it! So cute!

Summer with My Baby Sweetie

She is really into music. She LOVES to dance in her jumper or hanging onto it! I need to catch it on video.




She is eating like a champ. She loved her scrambled eggs this morning - and cereal - and fruit - and part of a bottle. For Janie, that's a lot!

A Trip to Aunt Ashley's

Janie got to wish Granndad a happy birthday.

Janie loves being at Ashley's house, and LOVES Sammy and Charlie!

Janie is Nine Months!

Janie's friend, Will Burriss and his mommy and daddy gave Jane this awesome toy where she can stand and play at all 360 degrees. When I first brought it home, she wasn't feeling well, but couldn't stop playing with it long enough to notice. She wouldn't even look up long enough to take a picture. She loves it - thanks, Amy and Brandon!

Janie has been sick this whole week, so it was hard to get a smile out of her. This one is about the best she could do. Poor, sweet baby.

Her hair is filling in so nicely. It is so soft, shiny, wavy, and sweet.

One of Janie's favorite hobbies... pulling items off of the bookshelf. She's very methodical. She finds her Baby Einstein videos first and then it's anything and everything.

Mother's Day Brunch

What a Couple of Weeks!

Janie turned 8 mos., learned to pull herself up on things, and has learned to crawl all in the last couple of weeks. She's also sleeping through the night (usually) and is sweet as can be. Her hair has turned curly at the ends (didn't see that one coming), and she has a new goofy grin. I've decided to stay home with her next year, and we're loving life!

Bows aren't usually her thing, but with all the hair she's got now, it's fun to try them out.

Her hair was so bone-straight at birth that we're surprised to see it start to curl up at the ends. She's so beautiful.

This is one of her new grins. We think it has to do with her teething. Super-cute!
Her eyes seem to get bigger and brighter every day. When she's sleepy, as she is here, she can stare holes through you.
