These are the first pictures where she's showing her first two teeth!
One of Janie's favorite parts of her day is bath time. When she sees her bathtub she flails her arms and legs and wants to reach down for it.

Janie makes us so proud. Her new little sheepish smile and all of the special things that make her Jane Cara warm our hearts. We had a terrific month. Other than an ear infection and teething troubles, Janie has been happy and healthy. We are so grateful. We had so much fun over Spring Break! Just spending time with her is fun. John took the week off, too, so we had a blast. Besides going to Mimi's, we also had a get-together at Gammy's, a play date with Jack, and Allyson's birthday party on Saturday.
Tonight we went to Rosemary's for a wonderful pasta dinner - YUM! We had a great time and got some great pictures. Janie loves her family.
Mimi dropped by this afternoon and brought some spring surprises for Janie. She loves them, and boy does she look cute in one of her new outfits! Thanks, Mimi!
Janie has had 2 milestones these past couple of weeks. She has TWO TEETH! (Bottom, front) and she can sit up on her own without support. It's so weird to be laying or sitting there beside her when she's sitting on her little bottom playing with her toys all by herself. It's her first real move toward independence, and we're so proud of her. I wish I could get a picture of her teeth, but she cries when I try to mess with them. They're still pretty sore, I guess. She's got an earache right now, but she's been to the doctor, and she should start to feel better in a day or so. I have spring break this week, and John is taking time off, too, so we have a week of family fun coming our way. I can't wait. I talked to my boss today about working part time next year, and he said he would try to make it work for me if he can. Please pray for us! I'm holding out hope.
Jane has started to play peek-a-boo with me, covering her own face then reappearing. John said that she's done this before, but today was the first time I've seen it. This is the first time she's "played" with me. It was completely her idea. I finally noticed what she was doing and hurried to get my camera. Unfortunately, my memory card got full during the recording. Can she get any cuter? I may be biased.
Another couple of weeks of ups and downs, a hospital stay, lots of smiles, laughs, hugs and kisses. She loves bouncing to her Baby Einstein videos, eating sweet potatoes and peaches, going for walks in her stroller, and playing with Mama, Daddy, Mimi and Gammy.
Janie did something very sweet tonight. I'm so glad my mom had my camera handy. Janie was sitting on Gammy's lap reading a book with her, and I was sitting on the floor next to them. Janie would occasionally look away from Gammy and the book, reach out to my face and give me a kiss on the cheek. There is nothing like a hug and kiss from your own daughter. I'll always remember it.
